Korean Lash Lift Patch Test Guide

Your safety is incredibly important to me. A patch test helps identify possible sensitivity to the products used during your Korean lash lift and tint.

When is a patch test required?

Please complete your patch test at least 48 hours before your appointment:

  • Before your first Korean lash lift and tint with Lashes by Lisa

  • If it has been six months or more since your previous treatment or patch test

  • If any of the products or formulas used have changed

  • If there has been a change in your health, medication or medical circumstances

  • If you have developed any new allergies or sensitivities

  • If you have previously experienced a reaction to a lash, tint or beauty product

I may also ask you to repeat a patch test when needed for your safety or to meet product-manufacturer and insurance requirements.

What products are tested?

Your patch-test package may contain small samples of the core products used during your treatment, including:

  • Lash-lifting adhesive or balm

  • Lifting solution – Step 1

  • Setting solution – Step 2

  • Nourishing solution – Step 3

  • Lash tint

  • Tint developer

The exact products supplied may vary depending on the treatment you have booked.

How to complete your patch test

  1. Complete the test at least 48 hours before your appointment.

  2. Make sure the inside of your forearm is clean, dry and free from creams or oils.

  3. Using the swab provided, apply a tiny amount of each product to a separate area of your forearm.

  4. Keep each product in its own spot and make a note of which product has been applied where.

  5. Leave the products on for 20 minutes.

  6. After 20 minutes, wash the products off gently and thoroughly.

  7. Do not rub or scratch the tested areas.

  8. Monitor your skin carefully for the next 24–48 hours.

What should I look out for?

Please check the tested areas for any signs of a reaction, including:

  • Redness

  • Soreness

  • Swelling

  • Itching

  • Burning

  • Rash

  • Irritation

  • Blistering or unusual discomfort

What should I do if I have a reaction?

If you experience any reaction, wash the area thoroughly if you have not already done so and contact me as soon as possible.

Please do not attend your lash-lift appointment until we have discussed what happened. Your treatment may need to be changed, postponed or cancelled for your safety.

Seek appropriate medical advice if you are concerned about a reaction. If you experience a severe reaction, difficulty breathing or swelling affecting your face, mouth or throat, seek urgent medical assistance.

No reaction?

You are all set! ✨ Please let me know that your patch test has been completed and that you have experienced no reaction.

A patch test reduces the risk of an unexpected reaction but cannot guarantee that a reaction will never occur during or after a treatment. Please tell me immediately if you feel any stinging, burning, itching or unusual discomfort during your appointment.

If you have any questions or are unsure about any part of the patch test, please contact me before completing it.
