Korean Lash Lift Aftercare Guide
Following the correct aftercare will help protect your lashes and keep your lift looking its best for as long as possible.
The first 24 hours
For the first 24 hours after your treatment:
Keep your lashes dry
Avoid steam, saunas, swimming and excessive heat
Avoid mascara and heavy eye makeup
Avoid oil-based products and treatments around your lashes
Do not rub, pick or pull at your lashes
Try to sleep on your back to avoid crushing or bending the lift
Be gentle when cleansing around your eyes
Your lashes may look particularly lifted, dark or glossy immediately after your appointment. This is completely normal and will soften into a more natural finish.
Caring for your lashes after 24 hours
Once the first 24 hours have passed:
Brush your lashes gently each day using a clean spoolie
Brush upwards, following the direction of the lift
Use a nourishing lash conditioner or serum suitable for lifted lashes
Cleanse your lashes gently and avoid rubbing your eyes
Remove eye makeup carefully
Avoid pulling or picking at any lashes that begin to grow out
Replace your mascara and eye products regularly and never share them
Keeping your lashes clean, conditioned and gently brushed will help them remain healthy as they move through their natural growth cycle.
Your lash lift over the following weeks
Your lash lift will gradually change as your natural lashes grow and shed:
During the first few days, the lift will look at its freshest and most defined.
Over the following weeks, it will begin to soften naturally.
New lashes will grow through alongside the lifted lashes, so you may notice a mixture of lifted and straighter lashes.
By approximately six to eight weeks, much of the original lift may have grown out.
Every person’s lash-growth cycle is different, so results and longevity will vary.
When can I book my next lash lift?
Most clients are ready for their next treatment after approximately six to eight weeks. However, this is only a guide.
Your natural lashes should be assessed before another lift is performed. Having the treatment again too soon could place unnecessary stress on the lashes, so please contact me if you are unsure whether you are ready to rebook.
A new patch test may also be required depending on the time since your previous appointment and any changes to your health, medication, allergies or the products being used.
